“They did a fantastic job. Frank is the company’s liaison. He is an extremely personable guy. Frank came out to the house and thoroughly explained the drilling process as well as the cost breakdown. You essentially pay for a package that includes drilling and materials down to a certain depth. The cost can change depending on the soil conditions and depth of the hole. Frank really explains it all very well. But basically you are gambling in a sense as there is really no way to tell how deep they will have to go to hit water. We lucked out and the drillers hit at the packaged depth. So we did not have to incur additional cost. The drillers arrived a few weeks after they had initially intended do to poor weather and previous jobs that went longer, but that was somewhat expected. I would recommend waiting to landscape the area where the will be drilling. The drill rig is extremely heavy and inevitably significantly rutted the yard as well as break some existing irrigation. After the hole and pump were installed, we had to contract with another company to do the irrigation and electrical hookup. We also had to have the yard regraded and sodded in certain areas. But this is brought to our attention by Frank in the initial meeting, so it was no surprise. I say all this so someone considering putting in a well understands there are additional costs to consider besides the well drilling. Overall we are very pleased with Carolina Well Drilling. In fact we had a plumbing joint fail at the tank and Carolina Well and Frank came out the very next day to fix it.It was still under warranty so there were no repair costs.” – Angie’s List Review
